The following National Testings have been scheduled for our region:

Traditional C3 and Traditional B
October 7-9, 2011 @ The Oaks in Lake City FL
Application due to Bama Rogers, RS by July 1, 2011

HB Testing
November 11-13, 2011 @ the Oaks in Lake City, FL
Application due to Bama Rogers, RS, by July 1, 2011

Preparations for these testings will be as follows:

For C3/B, the only Prep being planned will be held in conjunction with C Camp.
Dates: June 23-26, 2011
Place: the Oaks in Lake City FL
Contact Dawn McLane or Pam Crane for details.
Details such as cost, and clinicians/instructors are still being worked out.

For HB, (and possibly HA) there will be several weekend preps held at Dawn McLane’s farm in Jacksonville, FL, at no cost. These will take place over the summer and fall months, dates yet to be determined.  There will also be a prep (one day) with a National Examiner, which may include a fee.

For those looking for other National Tests such as Specialty Ratings and the HA/H testing, I would refer you to the National Testing Dates listed on the National USPC website.  On the National website, go to Resources, then Upper Level Testing, then Test Schedule.  There you will find all the Testing currently scheduled nationwide.

South Region Quiz Rally

The South Region (covering most of Georgia, Alabama and western Florida panhandle) will be holding its Quiz Rally on February 26, 2011 in Newnan, Georgia.  Both qualifying and non-qualifying divisions will be offered.  This information is being posted here on the Sunshine Region web site as part of a new initiative between regions to share opportunities such as this.  If you are interested in participating in this rally, please contact your club’s DC.  For questions about the rally, contact Willie Johnson at williejapc@windstream.net.

South Region Unmounted HB/HA Prep Clinic

Sunshine Region Upper Level Ratings candidates are invited to an Upper Level Unmounted HB/HA Prep scheduled on January 14-16, 2011 in Opelika, Alabama (South Region).

Hoof Print Pony Club is very excited to offer this experience in combination with Auburn University School of Veterinarian Medicine. Please don’t miss this great educational opportunity to be with Karine Gordy, USPC National Examiner, local clinicians and equine veterinarians from Auburn University.

The prep will be open first to C-2 and above members who are planning to rate later in the year.
